Becky Kwock, President

“If the giving of my time can make a difference in the life of a child then I will continue as long as I am able to. I am proud to say that I am part of this great organization!”

Becky Kwock has been an active volunteer with VTO since2013. During her tenure at VTO, she has worn many hats—from school rep to interim treasurer to vice president and now currently President.  Becky now oversees all aspects of Vista Teen Outreach, from donor retention to grant applications to all of the operations.  Becky also represents VTO at the North County Food Policy Council and Alliance of Regional Solutions meetings. In 2021, the Alliance of Regional Solutions awarded Becky the Star Award. Becky thanks all of the volunteers, donors and Board Members for all of their continued support.

Jason Tinling, Vice President

Jason began volunteering with VTO in the Spring of 2021. After working with the home distribution program for several months, he accepted a role on the board, and is honored for the opportunity to be a part of a great team working to make a difference in the community.

Shaun Espino, Board Member

“My family and I love being able to help our community with a specific need that commonly goes unnoticed.”

Shaun Espino has been involved with VT0 since 2016, first as a volunteer and now as a member of the Board. In his current role of Vice President of Operations, he is responsible for the food pantry and technology.

Madeleine Inman, Food Pantry Coordinator

“I am happy to be a part of this organization, the community and for the friendships made while at VTO.”

Madeleine had been a silent supporter of VTO for a few years before joining the Board as Recording Secretary. She would contribute to various food drives and follow the organization’s efforts on social media. In 2020 she took a more active role. In her current position, she is responsible for food pantry coordination.

Ashley Atkins, Secretary and Social Media/Communications Chair

“I decided to join VTO after trying to help students experiencing food insecurity in my classroom and realizing I could help in a larger capacity.”

Ashley was born and raised in San Diego. Following a love of education and service, she pursued a teaching career. She has taught internationally in Spain and El Salvador, as well on a local Native American reservation. She currently teaches with Vista Unified School District. She joined the Board of VTO in 2020 and currently serves as Social Media and Communications Chair, where she helps engage the community and promote the efforts of VTO. She is also responsible for monthly board meeting minutes.
